In just a few hours I’ll be out of quarantine.
My apologies for the scarcity of blog posts. When I walked into this hotel room almost two weeks ago – to the hour – I had all sorts of plans for my enforced “holiday”. I hadn’t counted on the psychological effects of being in an enclosed space hour after hour after hour, day after day. I’m usually fairly active, and I love my long walks around the hills of Hobart or wherever I’m staying. Although I have no problem with being on my own I do enjoy company. I’m the sort of person who hugs everybody. Plus, as you know, I adore sex.
My mind, however, had other plans for me. This isn’t the place to go into detail, but I’ll just say, it hasn’t been good.
Right now I’m looking forward to fresh air, good food, lots of fun, and freedom! Initially this will mean getting in my car and driving to Hobart, the last few hundred kilometres of open road – for now, at least.
As for touring the mainland one day, as the man said, “‘l’ll be back!” We’ll see what happens when the travel restrictions lift. I’m sure they will, one day.
Meanwhile, watch this space!!!
